NSCS – “Terrorism” Keeping Singaporeans Safe

We’ve teamed up with Hogarth & Ogilvy and Ogilvy Public Relations Singapore once again to delve into a quirky little world! This time, instead of germs, Cirkus has created a range of 3D clay-esque Eyeball characters to feature in NSCS Terrorism ‘Spot It. Stop It.’ campaign (NSCS The National Security Coordination Secretariat who is responsible for national security planning and coordination in Singapore).

Singapore’s Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has launched an app – SGSecure – to encourage Singaporeans to keep an ‘eye’ out for suspicious behaviour or items, and make a report to the authorities via the app.
In each of the 4 films our Eyeball characters – such as Alert Eye, Kiasu Auntie, Office Worker – take centre stage. You’ll find them in a park, a MRT station, a hawker centre and a clothing store – your typical Singaporean locales.
Human Cannonball Romain Borrel led the troupe to execute the scripts in a colourful and tactile fashion to make this serious topic accessible to all. And to really get the message out there, not only are the films online, Singaporeans will see the Eyeball characters (cat and dog included!) around their city! You’ll find them in places like the sides of buses, on the digital screens at a bus stop and inside a train.

Check out the ‘making of’ here!

This was a fantastic project to be a part of, thanks to the great team at H&O and the fun scripts that their creative team wrote.
