Hilarious New Ikea Commercial for Sydney Opening, Featuring Stig
This humourous spot directed by Reuben Sutherland features salesman Stig to advertise the huge multinational conglomerate for furniture and other home services, Ikea. This sport advertises the opening of a massive new Sydney Store @ Homebush Bay Drive. For this particular campaign, Cirkus animated in 3D and makes use of a toon shader to get flat tones and thick outlines.
What a great script by BMF’s Creative team of Richard Morgan and Simon Langley. Director Reuben Sutherland nailed the pitch and job pretty much with idea and the below style frame of how to assemble Ikea Stig. Thanks to the tongue in cheek script it was a joy to make the retail section work within the style.
